About Mironova Classical Ballet Academy
Elena Mironova
Director of Mironova Classical Ballet Academy
Extraordinarily experienced pedagogue and an expert in the Vaganova technique, training methods, and performance style. She received her training in Russia, at the State Ballet School in Khabarovsk, and went on to dance professionally in St. Petersburg and Khabarovsk. She continued her studies of classical ballet at the University of Humanitarian Arts in St. Petersburg, where she earned a master’s degree in ballet education, performance, choreography, character, and historical dance. She started her teaching career in 1998 at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Seoul, Korea, and was invited to teach master classes throughout Korea. Since moving to San Diego in 2008 she taught at the San Diego Academy of Ballet and the California Ballet Program. She founded Mironova Classical Ballet Academy in 2021, where she is dedicated to providing authentic Vaganova method ballet training in a nurturing and supportive environment.
